Dr. Tran was born and raised in New Iberia. He attended Westgate High School, and his family owns Jane’s Seafood in New Iberia. He worked there for years before attending dental school. Becoming a dentist has been a childhood dream for Dr. Tran.
He loved that he could build relationships with so many people and help when they were in need. “Being able to go to school, learn the skills, and come back home to use them in my community was always the goal, and now I’m living the dream!” Dr. Tran said. It’s helping children and their parents that motivates him to go to work each day. Being able to help parents with their children and educating them on what will best help their teeth is incredibly satisfying. He also find being able to provide help and immediate relief for the kids during dental emergencies super fulfilling.
Dr. Tran’s Treatment Philosophy
“What I love most about dentistry is creating positive experiences for kids while helping them build healthy habits that can last a lifetime. I believe strongly in conservative and preventive care and always try to preserve natural teeth whenever possible.
It’s really important to me that kids feel comfortable, safe, and at ease when they come to see me. I love taking the time to build rapport with them, earn their trust, and show them that going to the dentist and taking care of their teeth doesn’t have to be scary—it can actually be fun!
I’m also passionate about education. I want kids to understand their teeth and why taking care of them is so important, rather than simply telling them what to do. Just as importantly, I love when parents ask questions. I want parents to feel comfortable talking with me, understand the care I’m recommending, and trust that I’ll treat their child with the same thoughtfulness and attention I would want for my own family.”
